Buspar is an anxiolytic drug that eliminates the mental and autonomic symptoms of fear. The therapeutic effect of the drug develops gradually and begins to act after one or two weeks, and the maximum therapeutic result can be observed after one month of use of the drug.

The indications for the use of the drug are anxiety states of various origins, especially neurosisuria, accompanied by a sensation of:

• anxiety;

• danger;

• anxiety;

• voltage;

• worsening sleep;

• irritability;

• somatic disorders.

        The dosage regimen is selected individually and depends on the state of health of the patient before treatment.         When using Buspar, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, nervousness, fatigue, sleep disturbance, decreased ability to concentrate; extrapyramidal disorders (very rarely); blurred vision, confusion or depression, weakness, numbness; neurological symptoms (muscle weakness, tingling, pain or weakness in the arms or legs, uncontrolled movement of the torso); tachycardia / heart palpitations; nausea, dry mouth, diarrhea; vomiting, constipation; decreased appetite; myalgia, spasms, cramps or muscle stiffness, rashes, sweating are possible.

        Buspar is contraindicated for hypersensitivity, severe impaired renal function, and liver, glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, pregnancy, breastfeeding, under the age of 18 years.

        Buspar is prescribed with caution simultaneously with antipsychotics, antidepressants, cardiac glycosides, antihypertensives, and antidiabetic agents, oral contraceptives.

        For renal and hepatic insufficiency of mild to moderate severity, liver cirrhosis, the drug is prescribed in smaller doses and under the strict supervision of a physician.

        It is necessary to exclude the use of alcohol during treatment.

        When combined with MAO inhibitors, the development of a hypertensive crisis is possible.

        It should be borne in mind that anxiety or stress associated with everyday stress usually do not require treatment with anxiolytics.

        It should not be used in patients with epilepsy or with a tendency to develop seizures.

        During the period of treatment, the patient should refrain from activities related to the need for concentration and high-speed psychomotor reactions.
